General Information

Belondrade Quinta Clarisa 2023 is pure color and aromas of red fruits, expressive, balanced, and refreshing. A wine born as a small tribute from a father to his daughter, but today it has become one of the most renowned Spanish rosés.

The distinctive note of the rosé from Bodegas Belondrade lies in its production. After fermenting at a controlled temperature, the must spends a few months macerating with its lees and with contributions from other musts aged in barrels.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the French winemaker Didier Belondrade settled in La Seca (Valladolid) to start a new project, attracted by the potential of the indigenous verdejo and the Castilian lands. His contribution was a revolution for the wine scene in the region, being the first to apply the typical techniques of Burgundy to the production of whites, thus creating verdejos fermented and aged in barrels. Belondrade Quinta Clarisa 2023 is the only wine from the winery made with a different grape. A very personal bet, perfect to enjoy with any type of food, even more so in the summer season.

The winery

In 1994, Didier Belondrade, a renowned French winemaker, established Bodegas Belondrade in Rueda, driven by his great interest in the Verdejo variety. From the very beginning of the project, the Frenchman has applied a very Burgundian winemaking philosophy throughout the production process, being a pioneer in aging Verdejo in wood. Starting in the year 2000, the new winery of the firm was built in the municipality of La Seca, designed by French architect Vicent Dufos du Rau.
