Deep, complex, and true to the variety it stars, the tinto fino soriano, Antídoto 2023 is the latest vintage of a 'ribera' that never disappoints. The French winemaker Bertrand Sourdais once again brings out the full potential of the pre-phylloxera vines he owns in the highest area of the D.O., alongside his partner David Hernando.

In the Soriano district of San Esteban de Gormaz, at an altitude of 950 meters, in the easternmost area of Ribera del Duero, Antídoto 2023 originates. In this location and unique terroir, with a continental climate and sandy soils with pebbles and clay, cultivated according to organic viticulture principles, Bodegas Antídoto carefully tends to the tinto fino (tempranillo) vines, aged between 80 and 100 years, from which it was crafted.
The soil composition, the extreme weather of the area, and the low yields of the vines provided great finesse to the grapes, a characteristic that was preserved and enhanced through meticulous work in the winery, marked by traditional vinification. The process, which concluded with a measured aging in 600-liter French oak barrels, has resulted in a great red wine from Ribera del Duero that is versatile, balanced, and pleasant.
Bodegas Antídoto is the wine adventure jointly undertaken in 2010, in Soriano lands, by French winemaker Bertrand Sourdais (co-founder of Dominio de Atauta) and David Hernando, an agronomist and former technical director of Atalayas de Golbán. Their wines represent a firm commitment to distinction and respect for origin, and they are already positioned, due to their uniqueness and quality, among the great names of the region. This is the case of Antídoto 2023, a safe bet that does not disappoint and is ideal for accompanying good Iberian ham, lamb chops, stewed meatballs with vegetables, or grilled meats like a fine beef tenderloin.
In appearance, Antídoto displays a beautiful cherry red color.
On the nose, it unfolds an exuberant expression of forest fruits, followed by subtle wood notes, providing clarity and precision to the whole.
On the palate, it is fleshy, juicy, with a perfect balance between its silky tannins and an excellent liveliness characteristic of the Soria climate.
