Abadía da Cova Volta 2023 was the first wine labeled in the winery, in the mid-eighties. Decades later, it remains one of the emblems of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra, and proof of Adegas Moure's mastery in the art of coupage of up to four white varieties, typical of the area.

Adegas Moure - Abadía da Cova is one of the pioneering wineries in the creation of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra in 1995, which provided a commercial boost to the region, giving greater visibility to its wines both in Spain and abroad. Exports currently represent an important percentage of the destination of Ribeira Sacra wines, highly valued for their strong connection to their impressive landscape.
Abadía da Cova Volta 2023 was the wine that began the history of this winery, the first they bottled in the mid-eighties. Initially, it was made with the albariño variety from the Cuñas estate, a vineyard that stands on a 52% slope, requiring all tasks, including harvesting, to be done manually. A great example of heroic viticulture.
Subsequently, other white varieties (godello, treixadura, and branco lexítimo) from the As Cancelas estate were incorporated into the coupage. The soils of these vineyards are composed of schist and granite, which give the white wine a certain minerality. In total, about 10,000 bottles of the Galician white wine Abadía da Cova Volta 2023 are produced annually, which ferments in stainless steel tanks.
Abadía da Cova Volta displays a straw yellow color with greenish highlights. Varietal fruity aromas reminiscent of tropical fruit, stone fruits, and white flowers. Very expressive, clean, and very fine. On the palate, it presents a surprising structure and complexity, good acidity, and great intensity.
