Abadía da Cova Volta 2024 was the first wine labeled at the winery, in the mid-eighties. Decades later, it remains one of the flagship wines of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra and a testament to Adegas Moure's mastery in the art of coupage of up to four white varieties, typical of the region.

Adegas Moure - Abadía da Cova is one of the wineries that promoted the creation of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra in 1995, which provided a commercial boost to the region, giving greater visibility to its wines both in Spain and abroad. Exports currently represent a significant percentage of the destination for Ribeira Sacra wines, highly appreciated for their strong connection to the stunning landscape.
Abadía da Cova Volta 2024 was the wine with which the history of this winery began, the first they bottled in the mid-1980s. Initially, it was made with the albariño variety from the Cuñas estate, a vineyard located on a 52% slope, requiring all tasks, including harvesting, to be done manually. A great example of heroic viticulture.
Later, other white varieties (godello, treixadura, and branco lexítimo) from the As Cancelas estate were incorporated into the coupage. The soils of these vineyards, composed of schist and granite, impart a certain minerality to the white wine. In total, around 10,000 bottles of the Galician white wine Abadía da Cova Volta 2024 are produced annually, which ferments in stainless steel tanks.
Abadía da Cova Volta boasts a straw yellow color with greenish highlights. Varietal fruity aromas reminiscent of tropical fruit, stone fruits, and white flowers. Very expressive, clean, and refined. On the palate, it shows a surprising structure and complexity, good acidity, and great intensity.
