Sei Solo Bodegas Y Viñedos

Sei Solo is the personal project of Javier Zaccagnini. Its origins date back to 2006 when he decided to acquire four small plots of old vineyards in one of the most exclusive areas of Ribera del Duero: La Horra. His goal with this purchase was to create a wine that, while still being Ribera del Duero, would have its own personality, a particular character, and a profile in line with the tastes of its creator—a wine with less tannic intensity and less wood presence, but with greater finesse and elegance.

In the beginning, the technique was to try different ways of winemaking and barrel aging, searching for the path that would lead to the desired result. After five years of trial and error, he understood that the time had come to bottle his first wine. It was the 2011 vintage, a year that will be remembered in the region for its immense quality.

As a curious note, it is worth mentioning that the name of this project is a tribute that Javier Zaccagnini wanted to pay to Johann Sebastian Bach, taking the first two words from the score of one of his masterpieces: Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin (Sei solo a violino senza basso accompagnato).
