The history of Loess Vinos S.L. dates back to 2001, when the founders acquired 6 vineyards in the area of Roa (Burgos). These are tempranillo vines planted in 1998 on 6 soils classified as Excellent in the zoning carried out by the Polytechnic University of Madrid for the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. They cover an area of 27.6 hectares. In 2004, they produced their first wines and, in light of the excellent results, decided to expand their scope to the neighboring D.O. Rueda, where they produce verdejo whites.
Jaime Saiz de la Hoya Zamácola is the winery's manager, who also takes part in the wine design alongside the renowned winemaker Isaac Fernández Montaña.
Loess Vinos S.L. currently exports to Canada, the United States, Colombia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Andorra, Poland, Romania, China, Japan, Ireland, and South Korea.
