Bodegas Señorío de Nava

Bodegas Señorío de Nava

Founded in 1986 in Nava de Roa (Burgos), Bodegas Señorío de Nava originated from an old cooperative reestablished by a group of winemakers from León, who renovated the facilities to equip them with the latest technological advancements. Thus, a pioneering winery in the D.O. Ribera del Duero was born, a precursor of the first Reserva wines of the denomination.

Señorío de Nava produces its wines with grapes sourced from different villages in Burgos and Soria, with vineyards averaging 40 years of age, nourished by predominantly clay-limestone soils, very poor in organic matter, and located at variable altitudes above 850 meters, featuring the Tinto Fino variety.

With the turn of the 21st century, the Vázquez Muñoz-Calero family took over the winery, which now proudly offers a perfectly renewed classic style, fresher and more contemporary, where fruit takes precedence over wood in wines aged in underground cellars that provide ideal conditions of temperature and humidity.
