Bodega Hiriart

Bodega Hiriart

The Hiriart winery was linked for several generations to the French-origin Hiriart family, ever since they arrived in Cigales and began producing wines in 18th-century underground cellars where claretes were already being made. In 2007, the current winery was built, constructed over the tunnels and galleries of this old winery, which has remained intact.

In 2023, the international group Vinos de La Luz acquired the brand, giving it a significant boost to continue growing. Today, Hiriart is known for its high-quality wines, especially its reds. It has 42 hectares of vineyards between 25 and 85 years old, all located at an altitude of between 700 and 800 meters, on different types of soils.
