The production area extends across the eastern part of the island of Mallorca and includes 18 municipalities.
Climate
Mediterranean in character, with a mild average annual temperature, slightly cold winters, and dry, hot summers. The summer sea breezes influence the vines near the coast.
Soil
Limestone-clay soils, red in color due to the presence of iron oxide in the terrain. Whitish soils are also present, due to the clays and calcium and magnesium carbonates in the soils.
