Vineyards and Winery Manuel Manzaneque (D.O. Finca Élez) is located at an altitude of 1080 m in the heart of the Sierra de Alcaraz, in the municipality of El Bonillo (Albacete). The Vino de Pago designation, as defined by Spanish legislation, represents the highest category. Due to the uniqueness and quality of its wines, Manuel Manzaneque was the first winery in Spain to achieve this privilege, which entails having its own exclusive designation of origin. Thus, in 2002, it became the first Vino de Pago in Spain and joined the select group of wineries worldwide that enjoy this recognition. The winery became renowned for its white wine made from the chardonnay variety.
