Family with centuries of tradition linked to viticulture and winemaking. Its history dates back to the year 1199, the date of the family masia, where Ramón Roqueta's ancestors began working the vineyard.

Professional career
Son of Ramón Roqueta Roqueta, Valentí Roqueta Gillamet joined the family business after studying Oenology in France. In 1982, he assumed the position of CEO. A year later, in 1983, he founded Bodegas Abadal. In 2015, Valentí Roqueta was awarded the "Oenologist with the Best Professional Career" prize by the Catalan Association of Oenologists.
Currently, the Grupo Roqueta Origen (owned by the Roqueta family) is composed of four wineries: Ramón Roqueta, Abadal, Crin Roja, LAFOU, and Vins de Relat. This last project, Vins de Relat, debuted with the 2017 vintage and will launch its first bottles to the market in December 2018.
