His family, led by his father Josep Lluís Pérez Verdú, started the Mas Martinet Viticultors project in 1986 in the D.O.Q. Priorat.
Professional career
Born in Geneva (Switzerland) in 1972, Sara Pérez studied biology. In 1999, she founded the winery Venus La Universal in the D.O. Montsant. Today, she combines her work at this winery with her family winery, Mas Martinet (D.O.Q. Priorat).
Sara is a strong advocate for organic farming. In fact, the vineyards at Mas Martinet have been certified organic since 2006, and at Venus La Universal since 2019. Today, Venus La Universal is one of the most prestigious wineries in the D.O. Montsant.
