Description of their own wines
In Adegas Valmiñor (D.O. Rías Baixas), our wines reflect the unique land where the vineyards they come from are rooted. The O Rosal Valley is a privileged enclave where the Atlantic Ocean and the Miño River meet, creating a unique place with exceptional conditions for cultivating our most cherished varieties: loureiro, albariño, treixadura… Our wines capture that unique place and the Celtic magic we strive to offer the consumer, providing one of the most extensive ranges of wines from Rías Baixas.

As for Ébano Viñedos y Bodegas (D.O. Ribera del Duero), we want our wines to express the great character of tempranillo and its aromas, faithfully reflecting everything that Ribera del Duero has to offer—wines with great fruity intensity, remarkable power on the palate, and a lot of personality.
Professional career
After a period as commercial director of a winery in the Ourense region, Carlos Gómez Davila (Vigo, 1964) joined Rías Baixas as manager of Bodegas Condesat, and later Bodegas La Val, where he held that position for six years. At the end of that period, in 1997, he founded Adegas Valmiñor, which took its first steps in the Condado area of Rías Baixas. The year 1998 coincided with the beginning of very scarce albariño harvests, and while the Adegas Valmiñor project continued to progress, Carlos Gómez spent a few years as commercial director of Aguas de Cabreiroá (a Galician water company). In 2001, he definitively joined Adegas Valmiñor.

The current facilities of Adegas Valmiñor, located in the O Rosal area, were inaugurated in 2001, and since then, the winery has grown and consolidated its position in the market. Carlos Gómez has always prioritized innovation, facilitating the launch of new and unique wines in their category, and the most advanced technology, with which Valmiñor is always equipped. Additionally, Adegas Valmiñor owns 35 hectares of its own vineyards in Rías Baixas. Currently, the group also owns a winery in Ribera del Duero: Ebano Viñedos y Bodegas, established in 2004. The business group created by Carlos Gómez also includes other companies related to the wine industry: a distribution company, Exclusivas La Catedral, and an agricultural services company, Agrovalmiñor.
