Professional career
Fourth generation of the winemaking saga, Jesús Martínez Bujanda is an Industrial Engineer by training and began working in 1972. In 1985, he launched Bodegas Valdemar, which was the most modern and technologically advanced winery of the 1980s. A pioneer in the development of new winemaking methods and the recovery of Rioja varieties, he has always stood out for his innovative character.
Currently, his children Ana and Jesús (5th generation) are leading the winery. They have inherited the pioneering and nonconformist spirit of the previous generation and continue to enrich the range of wines with new ventures.
