Professional career
Engaged in the textile sector but with a passion for winemaking deeply rooted in their family legacy, the couple from Zamora, Ricardo Santiago and Carmen Torío, embarked in 1995 on a research project alongside a group of friends, several of whom were agricultural engineers. This endeavor culminated two years later in the founding of Bodegas Tamaral in Peñafiel. Initially, there were ten partners managing the winery, but thirteen years later, Ricardo and Carmen decided to fully commit and acquire 100% of the winery's capital.
