"The appropriate planting density and the tasks of green pruning and cluster thinning ensure that production does not exceed 2,500 to 3,500 kilos per hectare, thus achieving optimal grape characteristics for the production and subsequent aging of our wines."
Professional career
In the 1970s, Amalio Aragón began acquiring vineyard properties, but the Cillar de Silos winery was not founded until 1994. Even so, it was not until the 1995 vintage that the wines of Cillar de Silos came to light. And since then, the winery has continued to grow in quality and recognition. Today, Amalio's children - Roberto, Óscar, and Amelia - are in charge of the winery.
