Petit corbeau

La petit corbeau is a grape variety native to the region of Savoy in France, but it has also always been present in the Italian Piedmont (a neighboring region geographically separated by the Alps) where it is known as Charbono.

This grape thrives ideally in temperate climates, is an early budding and late ripening variety, meaning it has a much longer cycle compared to other grape varieties.

Certain studies suggest that the evolution of this ancient French grape leads to the current bornarda grape. Both produce perfumed, dry wines, rich in color, and with a pleasant acidity.
