The cluster is small, cylindrical, and loosely packed, with medium-sized, spherical grapes of bluish-black color. The wines have a high concentration of polyphenols (coloring matter) and low acidity. To soften the vegetal tannins characteristic of the variety, a malolactic fermentation in oak barrels is recommended, which adds volume and roundness. These wines have a beautiful vermilion color, reveal lactic and blue flower aromas on the nose, and exhibit good density on the palate (silky).
