Malvar

Spanish variety of white grapevine. It is mainly cultivated in Madrid, as well as in other regions such as Castilla La Mancha and Extremadura. In the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, malvar is the preferred white grape in the subzones of Arganda, Navalcarnero, and El Molar.

The clusters are large and loosely compacted. The berries are large in size, oval-shaped, and green-yellow in color. This variety is used to produce fresh, acidic wines with aroma and high alcohol content.

Weaknesses
