Vine Roots Graciano 2020 comes from a bush-trained Graciano vineyard located in the Rioja Alta subzone. The grapes were harvested by hand, selecting the best bunches. At the winery they were stemmed without pressing. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature in new 500-litre American oak barrels with racking and tasting at regular intervals to ensure it met the firm’s high quality standards. The wine was then aged for 12 months in new 225-litre American barrels.
This is a cherry-red, deeply pigmented wine with a fruity nose with aromas of leather, earth and a minerally touch. Pepper and high intensity. On the palate, notes of black fruit, medium acidity, medium tannins and a long, lingering finish.
Vine Roots Graciano 2020 (D.O.Ca. Rioja) is a great match for dishes such as chickpea stew or mushroom risotto.
