Viñas de Anna Pinot Noir 2023 is harvested at night to take advantage of the lower temperatures and thus preserve the varietal aromas and avoid unwanted oxidations. To determine the desired color of the wine, Codorníu's winemaker, Bruno Colomer, selects the percentage of free-run juice allocated to this rosé. Once selected, the juice is transferred to a stainless steel tank and fermented at a controlled temperature (16-18 Cº), keeping the wine in the tanks until bottling. The result expresses delicacy, elegance, and freshness.
This fresh rosé from the D.O. Catalunya is produced by Codorníu, a winery that has seen 18 generations of the same family of winemakers. In 1872, the firm partnered with the Raventós family to produce cava in the Penedés in the traditional way, in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona). Although the Raventós Codorníu group is one of the leaders in cava production, they also produce sensational still wines like this Viñas de Anna Pinot Noir 2023, a rosé that is the perfect complement to dishes with blue fish and rice. It also pairs very well with all kinds of tapas, legume salads, vegetables, and poultry.
In appearance, it shows a beautiful bright pale cherry color.
Nose with great aromatic intensity where soft aromas of red fruits such as raspberry, strawberry, and cherry stand out, followed by delicate floral touches of violets.
On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, with good fruit presence and delicate but expressive nuances. With a refreshing and well-integrated acidity and a long finish.
