Viña Pedrosa Collection 2024 is a special wine that pays homage to the tradition of the Pérez Pascuas family and the region where it was born, the Ribera del Duero. Ultimately, it is a Viña Pedrosa in its fullest expression and exclusively for Vinoselección.

We are pleased to present a new edition of this exclusive wine, crafted by one of the country's most renowned wineries: Hermanos Pérez Pascuas. The result of collaboration between the winemakers and Vinoselección’s technical team, Viña Pedrosa Colección 2024 is a single-varietal Tempranillo conceived as a precursor to the house's celebrated Crianza. A red wine true to the Viña Pedrosa style, where fruit expression is prioritised alongside an excellent and balanced use of the barrel.

Viña Pedrosa Colección 2024 is made with Tempranillo from estate vineyards, originating from bush-trained vines up to 25 years old, cultivated at 840 metres above sea level. At this altitude, the vines enjoy a cooler climate with marked thermal fluctuations, key factors for slow and balanced fruit ripening. The harvest is carried out manually. After traditional vinification, the wine spends 12 months ageing in barrels.

In 1980, two years before the creation of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, brothers Benjamín, Manuel, and Adolfo Pérez Pascuas decided to break away from the cooperative in their hometown of Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos) to start their own winemaking venture. Thus, a winery was established that has continued to grow in prestige, supported by 120 hectares of unquestionably high-quality vines, dominated by the Tempranillo (or Tinto Fino) variety.

The winery

Hermanos Pérez Pascuas
The three brothers Pérez Pascuas (Benjamín, Manuel, and Adolfo) were pioneers in championing Ribera del Duero as a region for producing quality wines. Thus, in 1980, they separated from the cooperative in their hometown, Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos), to establish their own winery and supported the creation of the new Denomination of Origin, participating in the foundation of the Regulatory Council in 1982. Today, Hnos. Pérez Pascuas - popularly known as Viña Pedrosa - is one of the most important wineries in Ribera del Duero and a prestigious international brand, recognized as one of the world's top 100 wineries in 2013 by the influential American magazine ‘Wine&Spirits’.

True to a philosophy that focuses on working exclusively with their own vineyards: one of the oldest vineyards in Ribera del Duero, passed down through generations; and which preserves its family character.
