Valleyglesias G3 2022 alludes with its name to a resounding origin: the majority Garnacha with which it was made, the granite soil where its vines grew, and the Sierra de Gredos, the production area of the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, from which it comes. Typicity to the cube.

General Information

Valleyglesias G3 2022, the youngest red wine from the innovative Madrid-based winery Bodegas Valleyglesias, surprises with its complexity, intensity, and power. From different plots in the areas of Valdehornos and Paraje de El Andrinoso, in one of the highest points of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, come the garnacha, syrah, and tempranillo grapes from which this attractive wine with high mineral expression, provided by the weathered granite soils where it was born, was designed.

Bodegas Valleyglesias is the comprehensive project of brothers Fernando and Luis Ocaña in the town of San Martín de Valdeiglesias (D.O. Vinos de Madrid) that combines viticulture with gastronomy and music. The winery boasts a long family tradition linked to vine cultivation and a heritage of 11 hectares, mostly of old garnacha vines, which are the basis of their wines, such as Valleyglesias G3 2022. A true example of authenticity and minimal intervention winemaking that guides the house's steps. To be enjoyed without reservations.

Tasting notes

Valleyglesias G3 displays an intense and deep cherry red color with garnet rim, high layer, and good tears.

Intense and complex nose with clean aromas of scrubland and black fruit compote, with perfectly integrated balsamic sensations.

On the palate, it is tasty and its powerful acidity conveys freshness. Very rounded tannins.

The winery

Bodegas Valleyglesias is much more than a winery; it is the project of brothers Fernando and Luis Ocaña, with the active involvement of their father Fernando in the viticultural aspect, combining wine, gastronomy, and music in San Martín de Valdeiglesias (Madrid).

Affiliated with the D.O. Vinos de Madrid in 2002, the same year it launched its first creations on the local market, the winery boasts a great family winemaking tradition and a heritage of 11 hectares of vineyards of garnacha, albillo real, and moscatel de grano menudo. The vines, mostly old and low-yielding, are planted in granitic and sandy soils, at an altitude ranging between 600 and 1,200 meters above sea level, in the Sierra de Gredos. Work in the vineyard, guided by respect for the environment, and a minimally interventionist winemaking process result in unique wines that aim to reflect the essence of the native varieties that define them and their terroir of origin.
