The Art Nouveau design of its label, from the year 1901, represents the vineyard and the city of Bernkastel, where Thanisch Riesling Trocken 2023 is born, a sensational white wine made entirely from riesling grapes, cultivated on slate soil terraces in the Mosel valley. With great aromatic intensity marked by citrus notes, apple, pear, and pleasant spicy touches, this white with a long and elegant finish is ideal for accompanying appetizers, sushi, and dishes rich in spices.

General Information

Thanisch Riesling Trocken 2023 is a white wine made exclusively from the queen variety of the Mosel riverbank, the riesling grape, grown in terraced vineyards on the slopes of Bernkastel. For its production, the grapes were hand-harvested, and in the winery, the fermentation and aging of the must took place in small stainless steel tanks until its final rounding and bottling.

Thanisch is a family winery in Germany currently managed by its eleventh generation. Sophia Thanisch now leads this renowned firm in the Teutonic country, whose philosophy focuses on terroir and sustainability, pillars that support their work at the vineyard.

With an aging potential of 4 years, Thanisch Riesling Trocken 2023 is a white belonging to the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer designation that pairs with all kinds of appetizers, sushi, fish with light sauces, and spicy dishes.

Tasting notes

Thanisch Riesling Trocken is a straw yellow wine with golden highlights, clear and bright.

On the nose, it is intense, with aromas of lemon peel, green apple, and pear, and hints of orange blossom followed by spicy notes.

Creamy and fresh on the palate, where citrus and exotic aromas like slightly unripe pineapple reappear. The finish is elegant and deep, with memories of fresh fruit and saline touches.
