General Information

Santa Digna Chardonnay 2024 is the most iconic white wine of the Santa Digna collection, a brand with which the Torres family began their journey in Chile. A line named in reference to the stone crosses used to mark lands and invoke their protection and prosperity.

The French chardonnay variety finds the ideal conditions to develop great aromatic complexity in the soils of Fundo Maquehua, acquired by Miguel Torres Chile in 1979. Santa Digna Chardonnay 2024 showcases all this potential in a wine that also stands out for bearing the Fair Trade seal, certifying it as a fair trade product. Enjoy it alongside baked fish and white meats, especially turkey and chicken in creamy sauces.

Tasting notes

Santa Digna Chardonnay is a bright pale yellow wine with greenish hues.

On the nose, it features dominant aromas of mango and apricot, with citrus nuances.

On the palate, it stands out for its great balance between density and acidity, with a fresh, long, and delicate finish. Very fruity aftertaste.

The winery

Miguel Torres Chile was the first foreign winemaking company to establish itself in this country of the Southern Cone. The Torres family, a centenary saga with a presence in the Spanish denominations Penedès, Priorat, Catalunya, Costers del Segre, Conca de Barberà, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Rías Baixas, and Rioja, made the leap to the New World in 1979 to start a new project in the Curicó Valley, attracted by the great winemaking potential of Chile.

Currently, the company owns more than a thousand hectares of vineyards, distributed across plots with diverse climatic and soil characteristics, enabling the cultivation of different varieties and producing highly expressive wines with intense varietal character. Miguel Torres Chile has fully consolidated its position in the country, and its wines are now present in over a hundred other countries. Since 2010, Miguel Torres Maczassek, a member of the fifth generation of the family, has held the presidency of the company. Among his objectives are increasing exports and maintaining the company’s successful trajectory, marked by innovation and a commitment to organic farming and fair trade.
