A Crianza from Ribera del Duero, intense and attractive
Bodegas Montegaredo is a family-owned winery based in Boada de Roa (Burgos), in an area especially conducive to viticulture. Of all its wines, Pirámide Crianza 2022 stands out for its intensity and balance. Its name evokes the winery's singular pyramidal structure, a symbol of the project's identity. Don’t miss it.
On the well-exposed slopes of Boada de Roa, Pirámide Crianza 2022 is born under the care of a very precise production process, designed to bring out the full character of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It is a red wine made from Tempranillo, grown from its own vines, with manual harvest, grape bunch selection and a rapid entry to the winery to preserve the fruit.
The fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts from the vineyard itself, after a cold maceration of at least 48 hours that helps round out the profile and gain depth. The wine then rests for 12 to 14 months in French and American oak barriques with fine grain, and spends a minimum of 6 months in the bottle cellar before market release. The result is a powerful, structured wine with a dense, fleshy palate and a long, mature finish.
Bodegas Montegaredo is a small family house that treats this label as one of its most personal, inspired by the pyramid architecture of the winery. From that privileged corner of Burgos, it works with its own vineyards and moderate production to shape wines with identity and without artifice.

Vineyard
Description
Tempranillo vineyards with moderate yields, located on well-oriented slopes, an arrangement that favours good sun exposure and contributes to balanced ripening of the grapes.
Viticulture
Viticulture relies on meticulous vineyard work and selective hand-harvest, with immediate transport of the grapes to the winery to preserve their full quality, in a traditional cultivation approach that respects the vineyard.
Bodegas Montegaredo is a family winery located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, in Boada de Roa (Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos). Its goal is to pursue excellence and authenticity in its wines to achieve maximum expression and elegance. This is based on the quality of the vineyard, with a traditional approach that is as respectful as possible to nature. It has 65 hectares of vineyards located at high altitude (840 meters above sea level) on the slopes of Cuesta Manvirgo, a privileged environment, as well as other exclusive terroirs in the surrounding area. It also works with an additional 15 hectares from suppliers.
In the winemaking process, there is maximum respect for the raw material so that the wines reflect the typicity of the terroir. The winery is recognized for its unique semi-buried pyramid: the only Pyramid-Winery in the world.
