General Information

Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is the basis on which Maison Perrier-Jouët built its reputation. It’s an elegant and balanced cuvée in which the floral notes of Chardonnay are beautifully set off by the red Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier varieties. The Pinot Noir provides structure and comes from the north of Montagne de Reims, whereas the Pinot Meunier, which lends it harmony, is from the Vallée de la Marne in the Champagne region.

To make it, the firm’s cellar master Hervé Deschamps selects the best wines from about 50 different crus. By blending these crus and a percentage of up to 15% of reserve wines, he succeeds in maintaining the style and amazing quality of this champagne year after year.

Perrier-Jouët (1811) is one of the most prestigious maisons in Épernay. It’s characterised by the extraordinary finesse of its champagnes, produced from the best vineyards. The history of its Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut label dates back to 1846, when the firm launched the historic Cuvée K, the first champagne with a low sugar content (less than 5%) in the style now known as brut, a bold move in a period when very sweet champagnes were the norm. This launch earned Maison Perrier-Jouët its fame, and it continued to produce brut champagnes underpinned by high quality, a philosophy that it maintains to the present day.

Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is heir to this tradition and the initiator of the maison’s famous style. Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut (A.O.C. Champagne) is ideal with tartar of redfin tuna or salmon en papillote.

Perrier Joüet is one of the most prestigious wineries in Champagne, whose fame has transcended and is highly appreciated in countries such as the United States, where it is known as "Fleur de Champagne," or England. The perfection and refinement remain behind the work of its creator, the winemaker Hervé Deschamps, who continues to demonstrate an extraordinary mastery in capturing the exquisite quality of the Maison's vineyards. In 1854, Perrier Jouët produced the first Brut champagne in history. In two centuries of existence, it has managed to position itself among the best producers in the world. One of the symbols of the winery is the Belle Époque bottle, emblematic of the connection between the house's origin and Art Nouveau, the dominant art movement in France at the time of its foundation.
