General Information

Bodegas Paco García, located in the heart of Rioja Alta, was born with the aim of bringing wine closer to new generations. Their commitment to quality and simplicity is reflected in expressive wines, easy to enjoy, and with their own personality. Each bottle is the result of meticulous work in vineyards over 25 years old, cultivated in clay-limestone soils that provide balance and character.

Paco García Crianza 2022 is crafted with a careful selection of tempranillo and garnacha, emblematic varieties that are vinified separately before spending 12 months in French oak barrels. This process adds complexity and smoothness, keeping the fruit as the main feature. The result is a versatile wine, perfect for accompanying special moments and pairing with meats, stews, and cured cheeses.

If you are looking for a red Rioja wine that combines authenticity with a contemporary style, Paco García Crianza 2022 is your choice. A proposal that confirms tradition can be modern and that quality is always tied to passion.

The winery

Bodegas Paco García
Why don’t my friends drink wine? That was the question that lingered in the mind of Juan Bautista García, the son and grandson of winemakers from Rioja. Determined to find the formula to share his passion for wine with the new generations, in 2008 he took the reins of the family winery, founded in 2001 in Murillo de Río Leza (La Rioja), to steer it in a new direction. The goal: to create different and modern wines that would appeal to young consumers. To achieve this, together with his wife Ana, he focused on both the presentation—carefully designed and eye-catching—and the content: wines made to be enjoyed, luscious and fruity, with oak taking a backseat. The first vintage hit the market in 2011 and quickly gained the approval of both the public and critics (for example, the prestigious Decanter magazine awarded 92 points to their Beautiful Things).

Luscious, fun, and highly enjoyable wines crafted by the winery from the fruits of its 46 hectares of vineyards (25 hectares inherited from the family and the rest acquired in recent years). The vineyards are spread across 7 estates located just a few kilometers from Logroño and are cultivated with vines averaging 30 years of age. For aging, the winery almost exclusively opts for French oak, which is less common in Rioja, and its facilities feature unique inverted conical tanks designed by the winery itself to achieve wines with greater color and structure. Currently, Bodegas Paco García produces 250,000 bottles annually, with 50% of the production destined for international markets.
