\r\n
Núa Crianza 2022 is a Ribera del Duero red wine produced exclusively for Vinoselección from Tempranillo grapes. It has 12 months of ageing in Bordelaise barrels of French oak and a subsequent bottle maturation that rounds out its evolution and refines its expression.
It comes from La Horra (Burgos), a privileged enclave in Ribera del Duero where the winery works a viticulture closely tied to the vineyard and to respect for the terroir. The winemaking aims precisely at that: to preserve the personality of the grape and of the region, with a precise and honest approach that is evident in every detail of the wine.
Behind it is Marqués de Velilla, founded in 1985 by the Hernández de Mercado family and based at Monte Villalobón, one of the area's best known estates. Its philosophy combines care of the vineyard, respect for the surroundings, and a clear vision of Ribera del Duero, and Núa Crianza 2022 well sums up that way of understanding wine.

Vineyard
Description
Núa Crianza 2022 is produced in La Horra, in the heart of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, from Tempranillo sourced from the Monte Villalobón estate and from selected plots that faithfully reflect the character of the area. The vineyard sits on soils of clay, gravels, sands and limestone, a combination that gives the grape power, elegance and depth, and is tended with meticulous care to respect the personality of the terroir.
Climate
The continental climate, characterised by temperature contrasts, promotes balanced ripening and helps to preserve the freshness and elegance of the wine.
Tasting notes
View
Dark cherry with violet tints, clean, bright and with very high colour intensity.
Nose
It is very aromatic and expressive, with high intensity that foregrounds ripe black fruit, clean and appetising, against a background of delicate toasty notes. As it opens, there are spicy and minty nuances that bring freshness and complexity, and culminate in an elegant, direct and very well-integrated nose.
Mouth
A very juicy and concentrated palate, with a long, dry progression that fills the mouth with ripe fruit and toasty notes. Its excellent acidity provides tension and liveliness, while the gentle and sweet tannins refine the whole with a very pleasant texture. The finish is long, persistent and leaves a sense of harmony that is very well balanced.
Founded in 1985 by the Hernández de Mercado family from Segovia, Marqués de Velilla boasts one of the most spectacular estates in Ribera del Duero, Monte Villalobón. A property located at the heart of what is considered by many experts to be the best area of the appellation: the triangle formed by Roa, Anguix, and La Horra (Burgos).
On a hill, overlooking the vineyard, stands the winery, perfectly integrated into the landscape, whose philosophy focuses on vineyard care, respect for the terroir, and reverence for the grape, which is meticulously tended from its birth to its transformation into wine.
