General Information

San Luis de Alico, an estate located in Chile's Central Valley, nestled between the Pacific and the Andes, is the birthplace of Las Mulas Cabernet Sauvignon 2023, a single-varietal wine with an intense nose and round, elegant tannins that, in previous vintages, was awarded the Gold Medal at the German competition Mundus Vini.

The Las Mulas line from the renowned Chilean winery of the esteemed Torres family stands out for being made entirely from grapes sourced from officially certified organic vineyards, cultivated using traditional methods. The meticulous winemaking process, in the case of this red wine brought to you by the Club, included 6 months of aging in French oak barrels for 40% of the wine, resulting in a persistent and long-lasting cabernet sauvignon. Las Mulas Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a perfect wine to pair with all kinds of red meats, empanadas, and barbecues.

The winery

Miguel Torres Chile was the first foreign winemaking company to establish itself in this country of the Southern Cone. The Torres family, a centenary saga with a presence in the Spanish denominations Penedès, Priorat, Catalunya, Costers del Segre, Conca de Barberà, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Rías Baixas, and Rioja, made the leap to the New World in 1979 to start a new project in the Curicó Valley, attracted by the great winemaking potential of Chile.

Currently, the company owns more than a thousand hectares of vineyards, distributed across plots with diverse climatic and soil characteristics, enabling the cultivation of different varieties and producing highly expressive wines with intense varietal character. Miguel Torres Chile has fully consolidated its position in the country, and its wines are now present in over a hundred other countries. Since 2010, Miguel Torres Maczassek, a member of the fifth generation of the family, has held the presidency of the company. Among his objectives are increasing exports and maintaining the company’s successful trajectory, marked by innovation and a commitment to organic farming and fair trade.
