Garnacha from Toro has something special: freshness and character in one glass. Discover it with this fantastic red: Mesopotamia Garnacha 2025, an authorial wine crafted from old vines in Bernardo Fariña’s micro-bodega.

Garnacha is the great forgotten variety of Toro. Eclipsed by the grape Tinta de Toro, Garnacha survives in old vines that preserve an expression of terroir that is different: fresher, with the mineral character of the Zamoran sandy soils. As a sample, Mesopotamia Garnacha 2025, a delicious monovarietal produced from old vines, with an average age of 30-40 years.

Short maceration and fermentation at moderate temperatures for a gentle extraction, without forcing, to achieve a wine with fruity expression and light structure. Mesopotamia Garnacha 2025 has been aged for 4 months in used oak. Its creator, Bernardo Fariña, aims for the wood not to contribute flavour, but oxygen: just enough to open the wine, gain volume and round a Garnacha that already possesses inherited elegance.

Bernardo Fariña Enología Creativa is the ‘micro-bodega’ that Bernardo Fariña, a native of Toro, has created in Zamora after more than 25 years of experience. Under this venture he signs a collection of author wines that reflect the character of the area and the personality of each plot. His philosophy is based on minimal intervention winemaking and a pursuit of purity and varietal expression. He works with old vines, meticulous processes, and technical decisions aimed at achieving balance, freshness and authenticity.
