Groundbreaking 'Rueda' vegan from certified organic vineyards
Menade Verdejo 2025 is a refreshing white wine born from certified organic viticulture that embodies the most innovative side of the Verdejo variety. The Castilian winery Menade produces it in the Rueda region, using grapes from different plots settled on clay, limestone, and pebble soils. After meticulous winemaking, the result is a vibrant and lively Verdejo with a mineral profile and pleasant notes of fresh grass.
Menade Verdejo displays a beautiful straw yellow color with greenish reflections. It is clean and bright to the eye.
On the nose, it shows a great concentration of varietal aromas and mineral notes. There are sensations of white fruit combined with hints of herbs (bay leaf, fennel) and low scrubland plants.
On the palate, it is a dry, flavorful, and balanced white wine with the typical bitter touches of the Verdejo variety. It has a natural acidity and a long, elegant finish.
Bodega Menade is the project of the Sanz siblings, the fifth generation of a family of winemakers, who in 2005 embarked on the search for century-old vineyards across different regions of Castilla y León until they found the vines that met their high standards.
A winery located on the terraces of the Duero River, in Rueda (Valladolid), which was a pioneer in the area in obtaining Organic certification and employs artisanal winemaking methods: grape treading, use of native yeasts... Their main asset is very old vineyards distributed across three different areas of Castilla y León. Their wines are sold in 25 countries and boast an impressive collection of international awards.
