Manyetes 2022 is a ‘Vi de Vila’ (Village Wine) from Gratallops, meaning a red wine made exclusively from grapes of this town in the Priorat, a selection that faithfully expresses the character of an absolutely unique terroir. Produced by Clos Mogador, one of the most important wineries in the region, this aging wine is presented concentrated, while boasting soft and harmonious tannins.
Manyetes 2022 exhibits the most elegant, fresh, and mineral profile of cariñena cultivated in old vines planted on rugged licorella soils. Clos Mogador, the winery owned by winemaker René Barbier, produces this single-varietal wine with the fruits from the Les Manyetes vineyard, located at 250 meters above sea level, in one of the warmest areas of Gratallops.
The uniqueness of the vines' location and the meticulous winemaking style of Clos Mogador, which in the case of Manyetes 2022 included 18 months of aging in oak barrels made from the finest European woods, result in a well-balanced red wine with good structure and fantastic long-aging potential. Undoubtedly, one of the safe bets of the D.O.Q. Priorat.

Clos Mogador is a small family winery in the D.O.Q. Priorat, founded in 1978 by the winemaker René Barbier, born in Tarragona and a member of a lineage of French winegrowers dating back to the year 1200, and his wife Isabelle Meyers. The journey of the winery began with the acquisition of several hectares of old Garnacha vineyards in the area of Gratallops. Today, the winery is one of the most important in this appellation, and its owner is one of the key figures in its global recognition.
The obsession with making their creations an expression of the original terroir guides Barbier's work to the point that their flagship wine, Clos Mogador, became the first wine in the D.O.Q. Priorat to receive the classification of Vino de Finca. The outstanding quality of the harvested grapes and the meticulous winemaking process in the winery result in wines highly rated by specialized critics.
