Logos I 2019 is a red wine aged by Bodegas Escudero in the Navarre Denominación de Origen, in northern Spain. This product truly represents the elegance and character of Navarre reds, combining tradition and modernity. It is made with Grenache, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, selected from vineyards located at medium altitudes, which brings freshness and balance to the whole.
After a controlled fermentation, Logos I 2019 underwent an aging of 18 months in French and American oak barrels, which gives it a remarkable aromatic complexity. It is a wine that is only made in exceptional vintages that give rise to reds with great ageing potential, capable of evolving and improving over time. The harvest is done manually, followed by a second selection in the winery, thus guaranteeing that only the highest quality grapes reach the tank.
On the nose, the aromas of ripe black fruits, sweet spices, cocoa and a very elegant, toasted background stand out. Bodegas Escudero is a family firm with a long winemaking history dating back to 1852. Based in Rioja and also present in Navarra, it combines respect for tradition with a firm commitment to innovation. Its wines, made with its own grapes and under strict quality control, reflect the character of the terroir and the passion of a family dedicated to wine for generations.
The Escudero family spans four generations of winemakers and viticulturists, showcasing to the world the unique character and excellent quality of Rioja wines. In 1852, with the winery located in Grávalos—a village with a rich winemaking tradition nestled at the foothills of the Sierra de la Demanda—the Escudero family embarked on a journey of quality that has positioned them, more than a century and a half later, as a clear Rioja benchmark.
Amador Escudero leads the winery, which is constantly engaged in research projects. It also boasts an excellent viticultural heritage of around 150 hectares, with an average vine age of 50 years.
The Escudero family is currently one of the main cava producers in Rioja (they have been producing cava since 1958). They have also sought new places to apply their winemaking philosophy, expanding their activity to the Rioja-based Bodegas Valsacro, Cavas Escudero, and Bodegas Logos in the nearby D.O. Navarra.
