General Information

Llenca Plana 2021 comes from the Serra d’Almos, a unique natural habitat where Terra de Falanis’s vines are surrounded by olive and cherry trees that imbue its wines with unique characteristics. The Cariñena grape is predominant in the blend, which also includes 18% Garnacha (a smaller percentage than that of the previous vintage).

Ànima Negra is undoubtedly the winery that has done the most to assert the quality of winegrowing in Mallorca. With Terra de Falanis, its managers, Miquel Àngel Cerdá and Pere Obrador, have transferred to Montsant the same philosophy that earned them success in regions such as Conca de Barberá and Penedès: to recover native grape varieties to make wines of maximum quality from them.

Llenca Plana 2021 is made from selected yeasts from the vines and has been aged for a short but effective 6-month period in French and American oak already used at Ànima Negra. Fresh and intense, this is a balsamic wine with lots of notes of Mediterranean woodland which goes perfectly with rice dishes with meat and vegetables or carbonara pasta.

The winery

Terra de Falanis

Terra de Falanis (1991) is an initiative by Miquel Àngel Cerdá and Pere Obrador, creators of Ànima Negra, the winery that has revolutionized viticulture in Mallorca, along with an enthusiastic group of winemaker friends. Its goal is the recovery of native varieties in the different areas where it produces: Felanitx (Mallorca), Serra d´Almos (Montsant), Rocafort de Queralt (Conca de Barberá), and Penedès (Cava). It is committed to sustainable, organic, and biodynamic viticulture, with minimal intervention in the field and in the wineries. It designs fresh and modern wines with a lot of personality.
