The champagne Lanson Le Blanc de Blancs is a sparkling wine with a fruity, elegant, and fresh style that embodies the distinctive principles of chardonnay from the centuries-old Landon house, combining in its blend the delicacy and minerality of the grapes from Côte des Blancs with the richness and meatiness of those cultivated in Montagne de Reims. The white queen grape of Champagne expresses itself with vitality and intensity in a champagne with 5 years of aging that pairs perfectly with smoked salmon or a carpaccio of scallops with a citrus vinaigrette.

General Information

To design Lanson Le Blanc de Blancs, Champagne Lanson used wines from the 2017 harvest, 40% of which were reserve wines, made from a selection of chardonnay grapes from 15 vineyards (70% premier and grand cru) located in two regions of the A.O.C. Champagne with very distinct characteristics. The Côte des Blancs produced fine and delicate grapes, while Montagne de Reims yielded fleshy fruits with profound richness. The result is a complex blend that stands out for its elegance and finesse, enhanced by a well-balanced freshness and a mineral finish that are the hallmark of the French maison.

Champagne Lanson opted for a long aging on lees that lasted 5 years to shape a harmonious, fresh, and refined blanc de blancs champagne, ideal for starting any evening. A sparkling wine that pairs especially well with fresh and mineral dishes such as scallops or oysters.

Lanson is today an international brand present on five continents, combining boldness and tradition. The prestigious Champagne brand Lanson was established in 1760 and features the Maltese Cross on its labels as a tribute to its founder, a knight of this order. Today, more than two and a half centuries later, Lanson is the second-largest champagne producer in France, with 19.8 million bottles, and remains an official supplier to the British Royal Household. The Lanson style, internationally recognized, originates from the exclusion of malolactic fermentation during the production process. This peculiarity allows the reserve wines to express their full aromatic richness.
