Lan Reserva 2019 is a delicious coupage of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Garnacha born from one of the best vintages registered in Rioja in recent years, rated Excellent. It has been perfected by a thoughtful maturation of 20 months in mixed barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle-ageing.
The grapes come from over 30-year-old vineyards located in Rioja Alta, with very low yields and optimal sun exposure to complete ripening. The manual harvest reinforces the care in a selection that seeks precision and expression of origin. D.O.Ca. Rioja in its purest form.
It is produced by Bodegas Lan, one of the most recognised Rioja houses, which has managed to consolidate a very personal reading of the denomination. Lan Reserva 2019 was defined in the winery with a very precise traditional vinification: after a 15-day maceration, with pump-overs to favour careful extraction, the fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks. The result is a red wine that gains in fruit expression, balance and definition, thanks to the combined work of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Garnacha.
Aging
Lan Reserva 2019 was refined for 20 months in French and American oak barrels, and then stayed for 24 months in bottle before its release onto the market. That resting period gives it balance, finesse and a more polished palate, rounding the Reserva profile with elegance and depth.

Nose
Displays an intense and complex nose, with a marked personality. The notes of ripe red fruit stand out, with cherry at the forefront, accompanied by floral nuances of white flowers, almond blossom and broom. In the background there are elegant balsamic hints and a spicy undertone in which cinnamon stands out, all with a clear and enveloping aromatic definition.
