Intense and delicate at the same time, La Spinetta Barolo Garretti 2019 is a single-varietal nebbiolo that surprises with its well-present tannins and great aging potential, hallmarks of the great barolos so highly appreciated in the global wine scene.
The Rivetti family winery La Spinetta crafted this magnificent red wine using selected fruits from the Garretti estate, which lends it its name, 2.2 hectares of vines over 30 years old, planted at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level and cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. In the winery, the wine underwent 20 months of aging in French oak barrels, followed by a transfer to stainless steel tanks for another 3 months. Its refinement will conclude after an additional 12 months in the bottle, resulting in an aromatic and velvety barolo, an excellent pairing with meat stews, roasts, and game dishes, and ideal for those wishing to discover the king of transalpine wines.
Light red color typical of the nebbiolo variety.
Nose of aromas of tobacco leaves, rose petals, and dehydrated strawberries.
On the palate, it stands out for its unique and dense taste, with notable presence of red fruit, smoky and earthy notes. Full-bodied with velvety tannins.
