Founded in 2013, Lagar da Condesa is the brand of the Gil family (Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares) in the D.O. Rías Baixas. The winery is built in granite stone, in the style of Galician pazos, surrounded by vineyards and located in the Salnés Valley - the cradle of great albariños - specifically in the Pontevedra municipality of Caldas de Reis, in Arcos da Condesa, an area with a long tradition linked to viticulture. The facilities house the most modern winemaking technology.
The Lagar da Condesa winery produces a single wine, which shares the name of the winery: Lagar da Condesa, 100% albariño. A white wine that ferments in 500 and 600-liter barrels and then ages on its lees for approximately four months. This process results in a highly structured wine with volume, showcasing the varietal character of the albariño grape.
