Joseph Drouhin Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos 2022 is born from a great terroir in the Bussières area, in the south of Burgundy, at the foot of the beautiful Mont du Mâconnais. The commitment to organic farming with biodynamic practices, in clay and chalk limestone soils from the Jurassic era, very favorable for the cultivation of chardonnay, is reflected in an elegant, delicate, and fresh wine. A true expression of its terroir and the character of the vintage.

Joseph Drouhin Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos 2022 is an elegant white wine produced by the French winery Joseph Drouhin from Chardonnay grown in a great terroir in the village of Bussières, near Pouilly-Fuissé. A vineyard with low yields (with a planting density of 7000 vines per hectare) and cultivated under the principles of biodynamic agriculture, with the aim of obtaining fruit with great concentration and full of nuances.
Joseph Drouhin is, indisputably, one of the great wineries of Burgundy. It already has four generations producing quality wines with a strong commitment to terroir, tradition, and know-how. 78 hectares worked under biodynamic principles result in exceptional unique whites and reds with that elegance and freshness that characterize the great wines of Bourgogne.
With a manual harvest and a very slow pressing to respect the fruit aromas, the must is fermented with native yeasts. Subsequently, part of the wine is aged in 500-liter oak barrels and the other part in stainless steel vats for 6 to 8 months. The result is an extraordinary wine from the AOC Mâcon-Bussières that develops mineral notes with hints of white flowers, with a storage capacity of 1 to 3 years.
Joseph Drouhin Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos 2022 pairs ideally with complex salads, appetizers, fish rice dishes, and baked white fish.
Clear and bright yellow color.
On the nose, it presents marked mineral notes and hints of white flowers.
On the palate, it is pure, light, and fresh. A long wine with a saline finish.
The Maison Joseph Drouhin was founded to manage wine trading, but it soon transformed into one of the great winemaking and producing houses of Burgundy.
It all began in 1880, when the young Joseph Drouhin moved from Chablis, where he was born and raised, to Beaune and purchased a trading house. His son Maurice inherited what would become the winery in 1918 and acquired the first lands, located in the famous and coveted parcels Clos des Mouches and Clos de Vougeot. In 1957, the third generation arrived with Maurice's adoptive son, Robert, who took over the Maison, giving the winery its current international stature. Since 2003, the firm has been managed by Robert Drouhin's four children: Laurent Drouhin, brand ambassador and director of the U.S. market; Frédéric Drouhin, executive president; Philippe Drouhin, in charge of the vineyards; and Véronique Drouhin, the winemaker.
The winery produces in almost 90 appellations and owns 78 hectares, mostly cultivated following biodynamic principles. Thanks to this, their wines offer a spectacular aromatic palette from the best terroirs of Burgundy.
In the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, the Drouhin winery owns 36 hectares of parcels located in the most renowned vineyards in the heart of Bourgogne: 0.23 hectares in the Grand Cru Bonnes Mares, 0.13 hectares in the Grand Cru Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, 0.60 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Amoureuses, 2 parcels of 0.91 hectares in the Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot, 0.46 hectares in Échézeaux Grand Cru, 0.48 hectares in Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru, and 13 hectares of the prestigious Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches, cultivated with pinot noir and chardonnay, a rarity in Bourgogne.
In Maconnais, they own 3 hectares, and they also produce in
