General Information

La Hormiga de Antídoto 2022 originates from a truly unique vineyard, planted in 1922 with Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vines, located at 950 meters above sea level in one of the highest areas of the Soria region in Ribera del Duero.

The altitude and the clay-limestone soil composition where the vineyard grows provided freshness, intensity, and creaminess to the most classic-style wine of Bodegas Antídoto. These characteristics were further enhanced, along with a velvety texture, thanks to the meticulous 10-month aging in French oak barrels from Darnajou.

French winemaker Bertrand Sourdais (co-founder of Dominio de Atauta) and agronomist and former technical director of Atalayas de Golbán, David Hernando, joined forces in 2010 to establish Bodegas Antídoto in the Soria village of San Esteban de Gormaz. Nearly a decade later, the winery has become one of the benchmarks of this area in the Ribera del Duero for its unique wines, among which this La Hormiga de Antídoto 2022 stands out, brought to you by the Club.

The winery

Bodegas Antídoto
Bodegas Antídoto is a unique project characterized by distinction and origin. Founded in 2011 by Bertrand Sourdais and David Hernando, two professionals with extensive experience in the wine world, the winery is located in San Esteban de Gormaz (Soria), south of the Duero River.

After his time at Dominio de Atauta, Bertrand Sourdais created Bodegas Antídoto as the expression of his need to continue crafting unique, distinct wines that reflect the Sorian lands that so captivated him since his arrival in the region in 1999.

The wines of Bodegas Antídoto come from old vineyards of tinto fino (tempranillo) and albillo, cultivated as a whole following organic viticulture principles.
