Honoro Vera Blanco 2024 is a pleasant and fresh white wine produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya, the winery of Viñas Familia Gil in the Rueda Denomination of Origin. Sandy soils covered with gravel yielded the grapes that make up the coupage of an easy-to-drink white wine that stands out for its aromas of white flowers and fresh fruits, as well as its refreshing and balanced acidity. Pair it with cooked seafood, white meats, all kinds of fish, and salads.

Creators' opinion

The winery

The Gil Family established Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya in 2008 together with Enrique Busto. The winery and its vineyards are located in the southeastern area of the denomination, in the province of Segovia, and the technical direction is led by Australian winemaker Belinda Thomson.

Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya produces the wines Arindo, Shaya, and Shaya Habis, using grapes from 30.5 hectares of very old, low-yield verdejo vineyards (many of them ungrafted). The vines are bush-trained and planted in sandy soils covered with pebbles. Winemaker Belinda Thomson states that the wines from Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya “faithfully reflect the terroir they come from and are crafted to age well over time”.
