Made from treixadura grapes from trellised vineyards located on slopes and terraces in the northern part of the Avia Valley, Gomariz 12 2025 is an original sweet white wine crafted in the German style and following the principles of organic viticulture. Aromatic, fresh, and with a pleasant acidity-sweetness balance.
The family estate Coto de Gomariz, a producer of high-expression wines in Ribeiro, presents this white wine, which holds the number 12 in its catalog. This designation, combined with the fact that doce means sweet in Galician, gives its name to Gomariz 12 2025, an unusual and fresh wine made from a selection of treixadura grapes harvested in two stages: 40% with high acidity and the remaining 60% in an overripe state. This sweet wine is crafted by halting fermentation through cooling and filtration, with 80 g/l of residual sugar, when the balance between acidity and sweetness is at its optimal point. It is then refined for nine months in stainless steel tanks before undergoing a resting period in the bottle prior to market release.
Due to its unique characteristics, the sweet wine Gomariz 12 2025, marketed by the Coto de Gomariz winery outside the D.O., allows for bold pairings, harmonizing particularly well with spicy foods, Asian cuisine, puff pastry desserts, and foie in its various preparations.

Tasting notes
Gomariz 12 is a straw-yellow wine with greenish hues, clean and bright.
Great aromatic complexity with intense aromas of white peach, citrus notes like mandarin peel and candied orange, and floral hints (jasmine), followed by green tea and herbal notes over a background of phosphorus and beeswax.
On the palate, it is fresh, citrusy, and offers a pleasant sweet-acid balance. Tasty with a long mineral aftertaste. Promising development in the bottle, where its appealing sweetness will fully integrate with its intense acidity.
