Represents the purest and most authentic essence of the Verdejo variety. Endorsed by an impressive track record—including the gold medal won at the Brussels International Wine Competition 2023—comes with a new harvest: Finca La Colina Verdejo Cien x Cien 2025.

Finca La Colina Verdejo Cien x Cien 2025 is made from the most distinctive vineyard of Vinos Sanz: Finca La Colina, located in the heart of the denomination, in La Seca. Here, Verdejo expresses its best in poor, calcareous-loam soils with rounded stones and strict dry farming.

This property hosts one of the oldest Verdejo vineyards in the D.O. Rueda. The vines supplying Finca La Colina Verdejo Cien x Cien 2025 are over 50 years old. After harvest, a pre-fermentative cold maceration at less than 6ºC is carried out, followed by pressing. The must of the highest quality is then selected. Once clarified, it ferments at low temperature below 14ºC to preserve all the varietal character. Subsequently, this white wine matures on its lees for 4-5 months, adding extra volume on the palate.

Vinos Sanz bodega prides itself on being the oldest winery in the area and one of the first to champion Verdejo. Its Finca La Colina range boasts a fine collection of international awards.

Mouth

A true reflection of the calcareous soils of our estate. It stands out for its great structure and balance. Lush, complex, and intense. Notes of white flower, aniseed, and herbaceous aromas.

The winery

Vinos Sanz
Winery

In addition to being the oldest winery in Rueda, Vinos Sanz is an essential name to understand the enormous development that this Castilian-Leonese denomination has experienced in recent decades. Founded in 1870 in La Seca (Valladolid), it was the first winery to unconditionally bet on verdejo, today considered one of the best white grape varieties in the world. Currently, the winery is managed by the sixth generation of the family and is in the midst of a commercial expansion process to conquer new markets.

Vinos Sanz bases its philosophy on preserving the maximum expression of the vineyard and meticulously caring for the winemaking process. In addition to verdejo, the undisputed queen of Rueda, the winery also cultivates sauvignon blanc – the second most important variety in the area – across its more than 100 hectares of vineyards, mostly located in Finca La Colina. This plot, with unbeatable conditions for grape growing, produces the raw material for two of the best white wines made in this country: Finca La Colina 100 x 100 Verdejo and Finca La Colina Sauvignon Blanc.
