Cueva del Pecado Crianza 2021, 100% Tempranillo from an excellent vintage, displays an elegant and mineral nose, where blackberries, raspberries and balsamic nuances intertwine with a background of spices and toasted wood. On the palate, the ripe fruit blends with the finesse of its ageing, giving rise to a long, refined and juicy red.

A vintage rated Excellent, Cueva del Pecado Crianza 2021 represents the precise point where character meets seduction. A wine made 100% from Tempranillo that captures the soul of the Ribera del Duero and transforms it into an intimate, nuanced and balanced experience. A seductive and very pleasurable red.

Making process

Winemaking

It comes from Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) vines grown in calcareous soils and hand-harvested in 15 kg boxes. In the winery, the bunches pass over a sorting table and are gently destemmed without crushing the grapes. It undergoes a cold pre-fermentation maceration to enhance the aromatic compounds, followed by a fermentation of 15 to 25 days at 29°C in 17,000 L conical tanks, with two pump-overs daily to achieve a balance between elegance and power. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel alongside its fine lees, through a delicate batonage that adds volume and creaminess.

Aging

The wine has been aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels, developing its deep and velvety expression.
