Since its origins, this blanc de noirs is surely the most daring wine from Les Cousins. Enjoy Les Cousins L´Antagonique 2022, a direct and original white wine.

Les Cousins L’Antagonique 2022 is a surprising blanc de noirs, original and, at the same time, straightforward and easy to understand. The cousins Marc and Adrià Pérez craft wines at the Cims de Porrera facilities with a unique style that reflects their way of understanding life: a moment, an emotion, a wine; and L’Antagonique is one of their most groundbreaking creations.

With a striking pale tone, this wine, under the D.O.Q Priorat designation, is made from the native varieties garnacha tinta and cariñena, with a small contribution of white varieties (garnacha blanca, macabeo, and trepat).

For the production of Les Cousins L’Antagonique 2022, the Les Cousins team harvests by hand in 12 kg boxes, and the collected grapes are sorted on a selection table. After being destemmed in a vertical press, a gentle pressing is carried out, and the obtained must begins fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18º C. Vinification concludes with racking and subsequent resting of the wine in stainless steel tanks until bottling, resulting in a wine that pairs perfectly with pasta dishes, grilled vegetables, creams, rice dishes, or pizza.

Tasting notes

On the nose, it reveals aromas of black and white fruit with a citrus touch, followed by hints of blue, white, and pink flowers. It finishes with spicy nuances over a mineral and earthy background.

Fresh entry on the palate, where it shows dry with a hint of sweetness. Mature tannins, full-bodied, and a slightly astringent finish that adds texture. Deep and herbal.

The winery

Winery
Marc and Adrià are the two cousins responsible for the Les Cousins winery, connected to the world of wine since childhood and, more specifically, to Priorat. Located in Porrera, both have extensive experience in the vineyard, where they cultivate the red varieties cariñena, garnacha, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and syrah.
