Corriente 2023 is an excellent choice for daily enjoyment. Light and friendly, this red wine, a coupage of garnacha, graciano, and tempranillo, has been crafted as a tribute to the traditional artisanal, unofficial classification wines of Rioja. Telmo Rodríguez creates an unpretentious red wine that, with its refreshing aromas of red fruit and pepper, will be the perfect companion to pair with delicious tapas and appetizers.

Telmo Rodríguez Corriente 2023 is a young red wine produced by Telmo Rodríguez in La Rioja from the varieties tempranillo, garnacha, and graciano. A friendly and unpretentious wine born from organic vineyards, on diverse soils in the Lanciego de Álava area, situated at an altitude of 650 meters.

The winery Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez returned to Rioja in 1998 with more experience. Lanzaga, with 15 hectares, was its innovative project, seeking plots with exceptional vineyards to produce great wines. This is an example of how Telmo Rodríguez is one of the first driving winemakers (those who travel to different regions to produce wines from the same vintage using the native grape varieties of each original region). Telmo Rodríguez's philosophy is to recover forgotten vineyards.

Belonging to the D.O.Ca. Rioja, this wine is fermented with native yeasts in cement vats of up to 8500 kg. Additionally, it matures in foudres of different ages for 10 to 12 months. Corriente 2023 is ideal to pair with tapas and starters, rice dishes with meat, and barbecues.

Tasting notes

The red wine Corriente displays an intense cherry red color, clean and bright.

Clean nose of medium intensity, it presents aromas of ripe red fruit, notes of dried herbs and vegetables, and aromas reminiscent of pepper.

On the palate, light, fresh, fruity (red fruit), pleasant, and with a good persistent finish.
