Are you ready to join us on a journey through three great areas of Spanish wine? From the Galician Valdeorras to the Castilian lands of Toro and the Levante represented by the D.O. Jumilla, we traverse these regions through three red wines made with native varieties: Mencía, Garnacha and Monastrell.

Spain is so rich that we’re determined that everyone broadens horizons beyond Rioja and Ribera, because out there there’s real gold. These three designations, with their respective native grape varieties, are at the heart of one of the most exciting moments in today’s wine scene. Don’t miss what’s moving in Spanish wine and get this collection that traverses three leading areas: Valdeorras, Toro and Jumilla. Three unique expressions of landscape, tradition and character.

We begin in Galicia’s D.O. Valdeorras, where Mencía is the most representative grape, and select the red Maruxa Mencía 2024: a “village wine” that stems from slate soils imparting a mineral character. Intense on the nose, with notes of fresh red fruit and earthy and mineral nuances. On the palate it is broad, fresh and enveloping.

We move to Castilla, specifically the D.O. Toro, where Garnacha offers a distinctive profile, combining freshness and character. Discover it with Mesopotamia Garnacha 2025 (4 months in oak), a wine of authorship produced from old vines in Bernardo Fariña’s “micro-bodega”. And we finish in Jumilla, a region that is enjoying an exceptional moment thanks to its Monastrell reds, as shown by Alceño 12 Meses 2022 (12 months in oak), a wine that has won no fewer than three gold medals.
