CM Verdejo Fermentado en Barrica 2019 is a unique white wine that is part of Bodega Carlos Moro's commitment to estate wines. A limited production project that aims to make the most of the native varieties from some of the most prestigious D.O.s in the national scene where the group owns a winery.
Finca la Marcas is an estate nestled in the D.O. Rueda, with 5000 vines per hectare, treated exclusively with natural products and native yeasts to fully respect the typicity of the Verdejo variety. Once harvested, the must is fermented in new fine-grained French oak barrels, where it remains for six months, aging on its fine lees before bottling.
This peculiar elaboration gives CM Verdejo Fermentado en Barrica 2019 an elegant character, silky texture, and great personality, making it the perfect companion for all kinds of cheeses, cold cuts, rice dishes, fish and seafood, or even lean meats.
CM Verdejo Fermentado en Barrica boasts a barley straw yellow color with vibrant greenish hues. On the nose, it stands out for its great intensity, frankness, and elegance. Multiple nuances, aromas of stone fruit with tropical touches of pineapple, among herbaceous aniseed and white flowers, in perfect balance with the barrel aromas (butter, vanilla, toffee, and cedarwood). On the palate, it is very elegant and velvety, with excellent citrus sensations, subtle tropical tones, slight smokiness, and elegant balsamic notes. Long, fresh, vibrant, and very balanced finish.
