General Information

Located in the northwest of the Bordeaux appellation, Château La Grave marks the starting point of the Pomerol gravel belt, where vineyards over 20 years old are cultivated in the traditional way (with regular pruning and leaf thinning), giving rise to the red wine Château La Grave Trigant de Boisset 2015.

The Jean-Pierre Moueix family produces this blend of merlot (85%) and cabernet franc (15%) following a vinification process that respects the fruit and is completed with an aging period of 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels. The result is a red wine full of delicacy, captivating with its elegant fruity and balsamic aromas and its refined notes of sweet cherries.

Although the beautiful Château La Grave estate was acquired in 1971 by Christian Moueix, it was not until 1997 that the firm Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix became the owner of this property located in Pomerol. The sublime wines born from these vineyards attest to the significant contribution of the French firm to the world of wine. Founded in 1937 on the Quai du Priourat in Libourne, it is a family business that owns and distributes important Châteaux in the region and, since its inception, has sought the best grapes cultivated by local farmers to produce wines of exceptional quality, distinguished by their faithful expression of Bordeaux terroirs. Today, the winery is managed by Christian and Edouard Moueix, the second and third generations of the family.

Belonging to the A.O.C. Pomerol, this red wine has a limited production of 36,000 bottles. Due to its organoleptic qualities, Château La Grave Trigant de Boisset 2015 pairs perfectly with dishes of veal, lamb, and poultry.
